Kay Moorcroft
Kay Morcroft is a Leicester-based vocalist with over 20 years of experience performing across the live music circuit. She performs both as a solo artist and as part of a duo and larger function bands, known for her versatile and professional stage presence. Alongside her live work, she is also a songwriter, developing her own original material.
Her career includes features on BBC Radio Leicester and BBC Radio Derby, as well as performances for Specsavers. She has been entered into a national songwriting competition, collaborated with Focusrite, appeared in projects linked to Channel 4 Stargazing, and will be performing later this year at O2 Academy Leicester.
Charlie Ward
Charles Ward is a singer-songwriter who first appeared at a home studio podcast session at Rowland Records, which evolved into a live performance where he performed his track Japonica. The song later featured on BBC Introducing, helping to expand his audience following earlier online videos and live work.
Since then, Charles has continued to build momentum, winning the Godiva New Artist Award and performing at the Godiva Festival in Coventry. He has also appeared on Channel 4 Your Song and continues to perform regularly at venues including The Empire Coventry and across the surrounding area.
Ella Beau
Ella Beau is an emerging jazz singer-songwriter based in Leicester who came to Rowland Records for mixing and mastering work, sending in raw stems for her material. From this, a curated medley showreel was produced, which she now actively uses to promote herself and secure live performance opportunities.
The showreel has helped her gain traction locally, particularly within Leicester’s live music scene, including bookings at jazz-friendly venues such as Moonshine Bar Leicester, supporting her growing presence as an up-and-coming artist.
David Wainwright
David Wainwright is a Leicester-based country soul artist who came to Rowland Records to record two of his original songs through the songwriter package. Over the course of the day, we tracked guitars, lead lines, harmonica, percussion, and vocals, including harmonies, to fully develop and capture his sound in the studio.
The sessions helped bring his songwriting to life in a polished, professional form, and he is due to return later this year to record a further two tracks. David is an emerging artist on the Leicester music scene, steadily building his catalogue and presence as a developing country soul performer.
Olivia Pierre
Olivia Pierre is an emerging Leicester-based pop artist who came to Rowland Records using the production package with a song idea and lyrics already in place. Together, we developed and produced the track from the ground up, turning her initial concept into a fully realised, polished recording.
She is also a member of the Travers Foundation and continues to build her presence as an up-and-coming artist in the Leicester music scene, blending strong songwriting with a modern pop sound.
